Thanks for the GREAT brisket. Here's what I did:

1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup yellow mustard (Heinz)
2 tablespoons ground good quality dark coffee (I used Starbucks Morning Joe)
2 tablespoons chili powder(Pensey's Chilli 3000)
2 tablespoons chopped chipotle chile in adobo sauce from can
1 tablespoon unsweetened (Hersheys) baking cocoa
4 lb beef brisket (Buddy's) with fat cap trimmed/removed

mix all the ingredients above in a bowl, spread the paste over the brisket with a spatula

place in slow cooker on low heat setting. wait 8-9 hours.

remove brisket, pour out liquids, glaze brisket with your favorite BBQ sauce (Buddy's Smokin' Pit recommended)

back in slow cooker on low for an hour

rest a few minutes, slice.
